A total of three people, including two youths, lost their lives in different incidents of lightning in the district. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire area after these sad incidents. According to the information, these tragic incidents took place late Sunday night in Atri and Neemchak Bathani blocks of Gaya district. 22 -year -old Sunil Manjhi was working in his farm in Khokhadia village of Attari, when he died and he died on the spot. At the same time, 25 -year -old Sonu Manjhi also fell victim to thunderstorms in Simra village of Neemchak Bathani and he also died on the spot. Both these youths were engaged in work related to their farming, when this cruel attack of nature snatched them away. Similarly, another heart -wrenching incident came to light in the neighboring district of Jehanabad, where 55 -year -old Usha Devi also lost her life due to thunderstorms in Kako police station area. These incidents indicate how big a threat to celestial lightning is there while working in the farm or open grounds during the monsoon. After this tragic incident, the administration has expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased. The State Disaster Management Department has announced a grant of Rs 4-4 lakh to the dependents of the deceased, which will be given from the National Disaster Relief Fund (NDRF). The Meteorological Department is constantly warning people about thunderstorms during monsoon. People have been appealed not to stand under trees or electric poles during thunderstorms, and take shelter in a safe place so that such accidents can be avoided.
