
Mumbai – Bollywood actor Dino Moriya and his brother were again questioned by the Mumbai Police’s Economic Offenses Branch in a scam of Rs 20 lakh today. 65 crore sweet river drainage scam. The officer said so. Both have been questioned about their alleged relations with Ketan Kadam, an accused arrested in the crime.
The actor and his brother Santino were called for questioning for the second time in the last three days. A police officer said that Moriya and her brother Santino appeared before the officials of the Economic Offenses Branch at the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s Office in South Mumbai. His statements were recorded.
Moriya and her brother used to have a constant phone conversation with Ketan Kadam, the middleman arrested in this scam. The police have also received some suspicious transactions of the accused. It is under investigation to find out if actor Moriya was involved in these transactions. Call recording and other data have been examined.
The police had earlier registered a case of fraud of Rs 1.5 crore against 13 people including contractors and municipal officials. 65 crore scam in extracting silt from the sweet river. Municipal corporation officials had prepared a tender for the contract to remove silt to benefit a specific supplier of machinery required for the work. The contractors made fake bills. Due to which the municipality suffered financial loss. Two alleged middlemen Ketan Kadam and Jai Joshi have already been arrested in this scam.
