
News India Live, Digital Desk: Mahalaxmi Vrat 2025: Mahalakshmi Vrat is one of the most important fasts of Hinduism, which is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. This fast is observed continuously for sixteen days and it is believed that the devotees who observe this fast devoutly get the special grace of Goddess Lakshmi, which leads to happiness, prosperity, wealth and opulence in her life. Mahalakshmi fast will start on Friday, 5 September in 2025. This fast will start from the Ashtami date of the Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month and will run till the Ashtami date of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month. The fast will end on Friday, 20 September 2025, that is, it will run for a total of 16 days. During this period, various forms of Goddess Lakshmi are worshiped, and the goddess is called on every day with a special resolution. The importance of Mahalakshmi Vrat: According to religious beliefs, this fast is directly related to Ashta Lakshmi, which is a symbol of the eight powers that provide money, grain, patience, fame, learning, children, victory and good luck. This fast not only attracts material amenities, but also communicates spiritual peace and positive energy. By observing Mahalakshmi fast, the economic crisis is removed, there is happiness and peace in the family, and new doors of progress are opened in the life of the person. Mahalakshmi Puja Vidhi and Rules: Kalash Establishment: On the first day of the fast, i.e. on September 5, after getting up in the morning on 5 September, after bathing, the Kalash should be established at the place of worship. This urn should be filled with Ganga water and water and added to it, coins, durva and a betel nut. Coconut should be placed on the urn by applying mango leaves. Murti installation and makeup: Install the idol or picture of Goddess Lakshmi near the Kalash. The statue should be decorated with beautiful clothes and jewelery. It is considered auspicious to offer red or pink clothes to the goddess. Pujan material: Lotus flower, red sandalwood, kumkum, akshat, incense, lamp, incense sticks, sweets (especially kheer), fruits (eg lotus cucumber), coconut and makhane must be included in the puja. Worship of Sriyantra is also considered particularly beneficial. This fast describes the glory of Katha Devi Mahalakshmi and the miracles associated with this fast. It can be tied on the side after offering it to the goddess on the last day of worship. Food to Brahmins: At the conclusion of the fast, to feed Brahmins and give them Dakshina is considered extremely auspicious.
