There is a great news for the farmers of Lucknow and Hardoi, and also for the youth of Uttar Pradesh who are looking for employment. Soon, such a huge park is going to be built on the border of these two districts, which will not only change the face of this area, but will also prove to be a milestone in the economy of the state.
We are talking about Pradhan Mantri Mitra Mega Textile and Apparel Park, whose construction work is going to start rapidly.
Farmers will get huge compensation till January
For this huge park, the government has acquired land from many farmers of Lucknow and Hardoi. Now the wait of all those farmers is about to end. The government has announced that the work of distributing the compensation amount will be completed by the month of January next year.
For this, the work of public hearing has started from this week itself. The objections of the farmers will be heard in November and December and then the distribution of compensation will start. The Chief Secretary himself has reviewed this project and has instructed the officials to expedite the work.
How big is this project and how will you benefit?
This is no ordinary park, but a mega project which is special in many ways:
- Vast area of 1000 acres: This park will be built on a total of 1000 acres of land, which includes 730 acres of land in Lucknow and 270 acres in Hardoi district.
- Investment of Rs 10,000 crore: An investment of more than Rs 10,000 crore is expected in this single park, which will make it one of the largest industrial centers in Uttar Pradesh.
- 1 lakh new jobs: The biggest thing is that with the construction of this park, more than 1 lakh people will get new employment opportunities. This will directly benefit not only the people of Lucknow and Hardoi, but also many surrounding districts.
- Farmers also benefit: The farmers whose land has gone to this project will be given huge compensation by the government, so that they can secure their future.
What work has been done?
The government is very serious about this project. A company named ‘PM Mitra Park Uttar Pradesh Limited’ has also been formed to operate the park, in which 51% stake will be held by the UP government and 49% by the Government of India.
So far, construction of 15.5 km of the 24 km long boundary wall of this park has been completed. Besides, the work of the bridge being built on the Gomti River to connect the park to the Outer Ring Road is also going on at a fast pace.
This park will not just be an industrial centre, but it will write a new story of development of Uttar Pradesh, where along with prosperity of farmers, lakhs of employment opportunities will also be created for the youth.
