Fasting method:
- Virgo Pujan: Worshiping Virgo before fasting is considered very auspicious. Consider at least 9 young girls as the form of Maa Durga and give them devotional food and give them some Dakshina or gifts. Provide food to a child (in the form of Batuk Bhairav).
- Offering prayers to God in front of fire: If possible, perform havan by law on the day of Navami, and offer nine forms of Maa Durga.
