It may rain in these districts of Jharkhand today, mercury will rise in Palamu

These days, there are continuous fluctuations in the weather patterns of Jharkhand, due to which sometimes a slight cold is felt and sometimes the strong sunlight is troubling the people. According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of light rain or drizzle amid cloud movement in some selected districts of the state today, which may cause a slight change in the temperature. On the other hand, there is no significant possibility of rain in Palamu and its surrounding areas, due to which the temperature is increasing there and there is a feeling of heat. After the departure of monsoon, now the weather is taking a complete turn in the state, due to which slight shivering has started being felt in the morning and evening. Let us know from the perspective of a weather reporter how the weather is going to be in different districts of Jharkhand today and what new guidelines have been issued by IMD.

According to the Meteorological Center Ranchi across the state, after the completion of the process of departure of monsoon, there has been a change in the wind direction. Due to entry of north-westerly winds, the minimum night temperature has started falling gradually. However, due to the strong sunlight during the day, there is still no significant drop in the maximum temperature. Meteorologists say that in the coming few days, light fog or mist may be seen in the morning, which is an indication that cold is gradually preparing to knock in the state.

The weather pattern is slightly different in the districts of Palamu division, which is counted among the hottest and driest areas of Jharkhand. According to IMD’s update, there is no possibility of rain today in districts like Palamu, Garhwa and Chatra, due to which there will be bright sunshine during the day and the mercury will rise. As the maximum temperature in Palamu remains high, people are still facing the scorching heat or the scorching sun. However, a slight drop in the temperature is recorded as the night approaches, which brings slight relief, but the heat persists during the afternoon.

Unlike Palamu, eastern and southern parts of Jharkhand i.e. Singhbhum, Simdega, Gumla and some adjoining areas are likely to remain partly cloudy. Due to the influence of local weather system and moisture, isolated light rain or showers with thunderstorms are expected in these selected districts. Due to rain, the temperature of these areas may drop by two to three degrees, which is expected to provide great relief to the people there from the heat. The Meteorological Department is constantly monitoring these activities and farmers are also being advised to manage their agricultural operations accordingly.

As the season of Durga Puja and upcoming festivals is approaching, people are curious to know how the weather will be in the coming days. Meteorologists estimate that now the monsoon has gradually departed from Jharkhand and the effect of north-eastern winds is going to increase. From the coming week, there will be a further drop in night temperatures across the state, which will usher in pink cold. At present, the weather is expected to remain pleasant in the districts where there is a possibility of rain today, whereas in areas like Palamu, people may have to face scorching heat and rising mercury for a few more days.
