India’s impenetrable shield, Türkiye’s noose! President Erdogan started selling S-400, know how Putin turned the tables

A very shocking news is coming out from the platform of global defense and geopolitics. Russia’s most lethal and infallible S-400 Triumph Missile Defense System is currently writing completely different stories for two different countries. On one hand, this state-of-the-art system remains an impenetrable and strong shield for the security of India’s borders, on the other hand, it has become a big headache for Turkey and a cause of international uproar. According to latest reports, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is now looking for ways to sell this system to a third country or get rid of it, but the key to this entire deal is still in the hands of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Why did this massively destructive system of Russia become a thorn in the neck for Türkiye? When Turkey bought the S-400 missile defense system from Russia, ignoring America’s strong opposition and threats of sanctions, it was considered a big and independent strategic step by Erdogan. But Turkey had to pay a very heavy price for this one decision. America not only imposed strict ‘CAATSA’ sanctions on Turkey, but also showed it a way out of its most modern F-35 stealth fighter jet program. Due to this, the Turkish Air Force is facing a severe shortage of modern fighter aircraft. Now, in order to improve its lost military strength and relations with America, Turkey wants to somehow destroy this Russian system, so that it can re-enter the F-35 program. India’s S-400 and Türkiye’s deal: What is the basic difference between the two? Geopolitical experts and defense analysts believe that there is a world of difference between the affairs of India and Türkiye. India had made this deal with Russia keeping its sovereignty and security of borders paramount and had clearly refused to bow down to American pressure. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has deployed squadrons of S-400 on the borders of China and Pakistan in such a way that no enemy aircraft or missile can dare to enter India’s airspace. For India, it is the biggest weapon of defense, whereas for Türkiye it has become only a political and economic burden. Big claim of defense experts: "Türkiye cannot sell S-400 to any third country so easily even if it wants to. The original agreement with Russia includes strict conditions for End-User Certificates. This means that Türkiye cannot transfer even a single nut-bolt of this system to anyone without the written permission of Moscow i.e. Vladimir Putin. Putin is completely in the driving seat at this time and he will not easily take any step that will benefit America."

The impact of this entire development is not limited to Turkey only, but it testifies to the strong strategic relations of the entire world defense market and India-Russia. The world’s defense experts are now praising India’s diplomatic victory, under which India purchased weapons from Russia and did not let its strategic relations with America get affected. Turkey’s hesitation and Putin’s tough stance have made it clear that modern military deals require not just money but far-sighted diplomacy and strong global credibility.
