More than 200 soldiers surrounded, gave the biggest shock
Security forces had received intelligence that TSPC’s largest commander Shashikant Ganjhu is camping with his squad in the border forest of Latehar and Chatra.[Basedonthisinformationajointteamofmorethan200soldiersofCobraBattalionJharkhandJaguarandDistrictPolicelaidsiegetotheentireareaandstartedabigsearchoperation[इससूचनाकेआधारपरकोबराबटालियनझारखंडजगुआरऔरजिलापुलिसके200सेअधिकजवानोंकीसंयुक्तटीमनेपूरेइलाकेकीघेराबंदीकरएकबड़ासर्चऑपरेशनशुरूकिया।
On Sunday morning, when the soldiers were moving in the forest, the Naxalites started firing on them. The security forces also immediately took the front and retaliated. The security forces did not give any chance to recover the Naxalites in a fierce firing from both sides. When the area was searched after the encounter ended, the bodies of several Naxalites, including Shashikant and his most trusted zonal commander Mukhdev Yadav, were recovered from there.
Who was a prize of 10 lakhs, Shashikant Ganjhu?
Shashikant Ganjhu was a big face of terror in Jharkhand. He was the supremo of the TSPC Naxalite organization and was declared a reward of Rs 10 lakh on it. He was active in the areas of Palamu, Chatra and Latehar and was the main accused in more than 50 Naxalite attacks. Recently, on September 3, the encounter in Palamu, in which two police personnel were killed, Shashikant and Mukhdev Yadav were also involved in that attack. Mukhdev Yadav also had a reward of 5 lakhs and was considered closest to Shashikant.
Huge amount of weapon recovered
Security forces have recovered several state -of -the -art weapons and large quantities of bullets from the encounter site. Police believe that the TSPC organization is almost completely eliminated by this operation and is a big step towards eliminating Naxalite activities in the state. At present, search operation is going on in the entire area.
This success is a big tribute to those soldiers who have lost their lives while fighting Naxalism. This operation has once again proved that the security forces are fully committed to uproot Naxalism from the state.
