He has openly warned Pakistan’s Army Chief Aseem Munir and said that if anything happens during imprisonment, his entire responsibility would be of the army chief. During the conversation with his lawyers in the court, especially after hearing a case related to his political activities, Imran Khan told reporters that his life was in danger. He feared that he may be given ‘slow poison’ or ‘heart attack’, especially citing the pathetic condition of the bathroom and toilet in jail. He also mentioned his previous Wazirabad murder attempt and had sent those who carried out the attack by Army Chief Aseem Munir and three other military officers, Imran Khan further said that he was conspired to keep him in jail like that Mujibur Rahman, who was later hanged. He warned that Pakistan’s powerful ‘establishment’ (army and intelligence agencies) is working to weaken his party PTI. His name has been removed from the party’s record, and he has been replaced by a political system of the ‘club of thieves’. He also stated that he was rigged in the February 8 elections. The former Prime Minister emphasized that he was against the inclusion of the name of the person who has left the PTI party and only his picture will be the face of the alliance. He also dismissed the allegation that he had met US Ambassador Donald Bloom to soften his stand. Imran Khan clearly said that he has always asked the country’s army not to make political intervention, whether it is a period of Musharraf or Jia. He also refused to consider the current PML-N and PPP as a “elected government” and only demanded his resignation and new, fair election.
