IIT Bombay extends last date for design entrance exam
Earlier the last date to apply for both these examinations was 31st October. But now, IIT Bombay has extended the registration date, giving a big relief to the students. Now you can submit your application form till 5th November 2025 without any late fee. This is a great opportunity for all those students who missed filling the form at the last moment.
What are UCEED and CEED exams?
If you do not know, then let us tell you that UCEED i.e. Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design is for admission to Bachelor of Design (B.Des) course. At the same time, CEED i.e. Common Entrance Exam for Design is a national level entrance examination for admission to Master of Design (M.Des) and PhD programs. Both these examinations are organized by IIT Bombay.
What is the application fee?
Talking about the application fees, the fees for both UCEED and CEED in different categories are as follows:
- Female/SC/ST/PwD Candidates: The application fee for all these is Rs 1900.
- All Other Candidates (General/OBC-NCL): The fee for these has been kept at Rs 3800.
What will be the exam pattern?
The paper of both the examinations is divided into two parts – Part-A and Part-B.
- Part-A: It is a computer based test (CBT) in which multiple choice questions (MCQ), multiple select questions (MSQ) and numerical answer type (NAT) questions are asked.
- Part-B: This happens in offline mode. In this your drawing and designing skills are tested.
