If Pakistan loses, where will these Muslim countries go?

Most of the major Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Indonesia are supporting India’s stance in the India-Pakistan dispute. And he is with him on the issue of terrorism. At the same time, countries like Türkiye and Qatar want to remain in neutral roles. So that they can balance their diplomatic and economic interests. Afghanistan can openly adopt anti -Pakistan stance.

If Pakistan loses, where will these Muslim countries go?

The tension between India and Pakistan is at its peak after the Pahalgam terror attack. India has accused Pakistan of supporting terrorism and has taken tough measures, including suspending the Indus Water Treaty, canceling visa for Pakistani citizens and reducing diplomatic relations. Pakistan has also retaliated and threatened to cancel the Shimla Agreement. In such a situation, the question is also arising that what will be the stand of Muslim countries in this situation. Because somewhere their role also becomes important. Countries like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia and Egypt not only consider India’s stance against terrorism, but also consider it necessary for global security. The support of these countries is not only diplomatic, but also related to strategic and economic interests.

Energy security is an important issue

Energy security between Saudi Arabia and India is a major issue. India is a major importer of crude oil from Saudi Arabia. While Saudi Arabia is investing in infrastructure and renewable energy in India. India is an important partner in Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s ‘Vision 2030’. This is the reason that Saudi Arabia openly denies any terrorist activity against India.

Relationships reach historical heights

In the last decade, relations between the United Arab Emirates and India have reached historical heights. Bilateral trade between the two countries has reached $ 85 billion. The United Arab Emirates is India’s third largest trading partner and India is the second largest trading partner in the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, there are a large number of Indian workers in the United Arab Emirates, the amount sent by which both countries are benefiting. In such a situation, the UAE cannot stand with any side that is against India’s security. Indonesia and Egypt are also promoting strategic partnership with India in many areas. India is collaborating with Indonesia in maritime security, tourism and food processing. Recently new agreements have been signed in the field of defense and education along with Egypt. India is not only a major market for these countries, but also a stable and reliable partner.

Bangladesh can remain neutral. There are many reasons for this. These days the interim government is in power. Its leader Mr. Yunus is constantly speaking against India. But Bangladesh is not so big that it opposed India on this issue or supports Pakistan. That is why Bangladesh can play a neutral role. Countries like Türkiye can try to remain neutral. Although Türkiye has traditionally been a supporter of Pakistan, he wants to avoid direct conflict due to increase in trade and tourism with India in recent years. Türkiye’s economy is already under pressure and openly supporting a particular party can make it uncomfortable on international forums. The situation in Qatar is similar. A large number of non -resident Indians in India work in Qatar and have made significant agreements between the two countries in the gas and energy sector. In addition, Qatar wants to maintain its role as a global mediator, so openly supporting any one side can weaken its diplomatic position. Therefore, powers like Qatar can adopt a policy of balance in this crisis. Relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan have been stressful for a long time. India has invested in development projects in Afghanistan, which has increased cooperation between the two countries. Also, India has stood with Afghanistan in every difficult time. Their relations with Pakistan are also not good. Pakistan always blames Afghanistan for ruining Chinese investment. In such a situation, it is believed that Afghanistan will be towards India.

Who is towards Pakistan?

So far no country has openly supported Pakistan. The international community has understood India’s steps against terrorism and demanded strict action against terrorism from Pakistan. This weakens Pakistan’s diplomatic condition. This time India has been successful in gaining global support against terrorism. Countries like America, Britain, France, Russia and Japan have supported India’s stance.
