News India Live, Digital Desk: The latest case is from Sambhal district, where nomination work was going on for the post of Director of ‘Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Gram Vikas Bank’. Everything seemed normal, but within no time the scene there became like a ‘political battlefield’. In Sambhal, which is known for its active politics, workers of BJP (the party in power on the street) and SP (the main opposition party) once again came face to face.

How did the thing start?
According to the information, a large number of supporters of both the parties had gathered during the nomination process. First sloganeering started and then the matter escalated so much that they started pushing each other. People present at the spot say that both sides were claiming their respective victory and dominance. The situation worsened when there was a squabble over some issue regarding filing of nomination.

Bank premises changed in Cantonment
When the uproar increased considerably and the workers were refusing to calm down, the police had to take command. As soon as information about the uproar was received, heavy police force was deployed there. After much effort, the authorities dispersed both the groups and tried to maintain peace there. There is still heavy force deployment around the nomination site so that no untoward incident happens again.

It is not just a fight for the chair, it is a question of influence!
According to political pundits, control of cooperative banks is very important in terms of village politics and funding. That is why no party wants to miss this opportunity. Anyway, the old rivalry between BJP and SP is well known in Sambhal, where victory and defeat are considered not only on votes but also on influence.

What do the general public say?
The general public is also a little worried after seeing such tension in a small bank election. People say that electoral enthusiasm has its place, but fighting and pushing in a normal process like nomination is not good for the peace and order of the city.

At present, the nomination process is being completed under the supervision of the police, but the political heat that has arisen in Sambhal will take some time to cool down.
