ICMR on Covid 19: The number of Corona virus patients is increasing once again in India. However, ICMR i.e. Indian Council of Medical Research said on Monday that only mild symptoms are being seen in Kovid 19 variants seen in India. Omikron’s 4 sub-variants have been found in the country. But no serious matter has been revealed yet.
Essential basic precautions regarding covid-19
Dr. Rajiv Bahl, Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), said, ‘People do not need to worry about this new variant of Kovid-19. We just need to be careful. The government and all agencies are monitoring this incident. We just need to take basic precautions. But if someone is a cancer patient or suffering from a serious disease or his immune system is weak, then such people are advised to avoid any infection.
Dr. Bahl said, ‘First cases were increasing in South India, then in West India and now in North India. The government is monitoring the situation through the Integrated Disease Monitoring Program (IDSP), which keeps an eye on Kovid cases across the country.
New cases are not a matter of concern
Dr. Bahl said, ‘Whenever the cases of Corona increase, three things are noted. The first of these questions is how fast the cases are growing? Second, is the virus avoiding our immune system? The third most important thing is whether the current seriousness is more than the previous cases? However, recent cases so far are not worrisome.
Soon a new vaccine has the ability to prepare.
ICMR DG said, ‘If the seriousness of the case increases, then all preparations are being done keeping in mind that. The Union Health Secretary has also held a meeting and reviewed the overall situation. Also, if a new variant comes out, we also have the ability to prepare a new vaccine very soon. We have some platforms that can prepare new vaccines if needed. But in the current situation I do not think there is any such need at this time.
