News India Live, Digital Desk: Quick Ghee Recipe: Who doesn’t like homemade desi ghee? Where can its fragrance and taste be found in market ghee? But many people find making ghee a hassle. One gets lazy just thinking about heating the cream for hours and then cleaning it. But today we are going to tell you a method by which you can prepare pure desi ghee at home in a very short time and without any hassle. For this you will need just two things – a pressure cooker and a little baking soda.
What you need to make ghee:
- Milk Cream: You can collect the cream coming out of milk in a vessel and keep it in the refrigerator for 10-15 days.
- Baking Soda: Just a pinch of baking soda is enough.
- Pressure Cooker: To make ghee, use a heavy bottom pressure cooker.
Easy way to make ghee:
- First of all, take out the collected cream from the refrigerator and keep it outside for some time, so that it comes to normal temperature.
- Now put this cream in the pressure cooker.
- After this, add a pinch of baking soda to the cream and mix well. By adding baking soda, ghee comes out quickly and in more quantity.
- Now close the lid of the pressure cooker, but keep in mind that you should not whistle.
- Keep the cooker on low flame. After some time you will see that ghee has started separating from the cream.
- In about 10-15 minutes the cream will completely melt and the ghee will rise to the top. When a nice aroma starts coming from the ghee, turn off the gas.
- Let the cooker cool down a bit and then open the lid.
- Now place a fine strainer over a clean and dry glass jar and strain the prepared ghee.
- Your pure and granular desi ghee is ready. You can store it for months.
By making ghee in this easy way, you will save time and gas will also be saved. Also, you will not have to worry about market adulteration.
