Punjab Weather: Today, Wednesday, is the fifth day of Nautapa in Punjab. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert today. But the temperature will drop slightly. Along with this, some relief is expected from May 31. Within a week, the temperature of the cities of Punjab has dropped by 3 to 5 degrees. Another western disturbance is expected to affect Punjab in the coming days.

According to the information released by the Meteorological Department, a red alert has been issued in 6 districts today. There will be a red alert in Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar and Bathinda. While an orange alert has been issued in the rest of the state. Along with this, today the temperature of all the cities will see a drop of 1 to 2 degrees.

According to the Meteorological Department, a new western disturbance is going to become active from May 29. Due to which rain and hailstorm activities can be seen in many states. The effect of this western disturbance will also be seen in Punjab. The possibility of rain is less, but this western disturbance should provide some relief from the heat.

According to the Meteorological Department, the heat wave has been continuing for the last few days and the temperature is being recorded between 45 to 50 degree Celsius in many cities of the state. Punjab has seen heat wave for five to seven days in the month of May. As far as North India is concerned, five western disturbances were active but only two were active. Due to which rain activities were also seen less. According to the Meteorological Department, the month of June also does not seem to be a relief. The heat wave is likely to continue in the month of June.
