Has the government eliminated all sensibilities? Instead of providing balm to the pain of minorities in Bangladesh, the absurd words of the leaders:

News India Live, Digital Desk: Today is January 6, 2026 and when we talk about the modern era, we often hope that humanity would have become better. But the news and statements coming from across the border in Bangladesh have badly shattered this hope. When the question of safety of minorities on the streets arises or there is news of loss of innocent life, my heart sinks.

But what is even more shocking and heartbreaking is that the people in power and some big leaders say that “these are minor incidents, do not exaggerate them.”

Can losing someone’s life be a ‘small thing’?
Think once with a cold mind, will this be a ‘small incident’ for the mother who has lost her son or the family whose everything was set on fire? These words may sound light on the tongues of the leaders, but in reality it is like fanning the ashes of a burning house.

In political circles, this statement may just be an attempt to save one’s face, but on the ground, this message encourages anarchist elements who feel that attacking minorities is not a big crime.

Just waiting for ‘justice’
People around the world are now asking the question whether human rights will be protected only on selected occasions? When it concerns our own people, it is a big scandal, and when atrocities are committed against ‘others’, it becomes an ‘ordinary accident’?

These tragic conditions in Bangladesh have worried not only the neighboring countries but also the international community. This is not the time to shine in politics or save one’s chair. This is the time to hold the hands of those families who are forced to live under the shadow of fear. If we continue to ignore murders today considering them as ‘small incidents’, then tomorrow humanity will never forgive us.

Unless the government and administration take such heinous acts seriously and take strict action, these wounds will never heal. Because injustice, wherever it occurs, is a major threat to every corner of the world.
