Hajipur: Monday brought a big relief for the people of Hajipur city troubled by increasing air pollution and dust. The Municipal Council has taken a big and hi-tech step towards freeing the city from poisonous air.
A state-of-the-art in the city council office on Monday ‘Multifunction Water Sprinkler Machine’ Was inaugurated. Municipal Council Chairperson Dr. Sangeeta Kumari and Executive Officer Sushil Kumar jointly flagged off this machine after offering prayers and sent it into the service of the city.
Why was this machine needed?
Chairman Dr. Sangeeta Kumari said that development work, like road construction and other projects, has been going on at a fast pace in Hajipur for some time. Due to this, the amount of dust particles (PM 2.5 and PM 10) in the city’s air had reached dangerous levels, due to which pollution was continuously increasing.
There were continuous reports about this serious problem in newspapers and social media. Keeping this in mind, the city council made pollution control its first priority and purchased this high-tech machine.
How does this ‘anti-smog gun’ work?
This machine is not an ordinary water tanker. This state-of-the-art ‘Anti-smog gun’ Equipped with technology, which breaks water into very fine droplets and sprays it in the air.
- How does it work? These fine droplets of water stick to the tiny particles of dust and pollution present in the air and make them heavy, due to which they settle on the ground and the air becomes clean.
- What is the plan? Now through this machine, water will be sprinkled every morning and evening in the main roads of the city, crowded markets and those areas where dust pollution is highest.
Officials claim that with the regular use of this machine, there will soon be a big improvement in the air quality of the city and the people of Hajipur will get a clean and healthy environment to breathe.
