There is a great news for the 10th and ITI pass youth who are preparing for government jobs and want to make a career in the technical field. Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR), Dhanbad, a prestigious institute under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), has invited applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Technician-1 (Group-II).
A total of 30 vacancies will be filled in various technical trades through this recruitment process of CSIR-CIMFR. Selected candidates will get excellent salary and allowances
The biggest feature of this technical recruitment is its excellent salary structure. Candidates who are finally selected for the posts of Technician-1 will be given an attractive pay scale of ₹ 19,900 to ₹ 63,200 per month under the Pay Matrix Level-2 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC). The total estimated gross salary including the basic pay at the beginning of the job along with all the central government allowances (like DA, HRA and TA) is going to be around ₹ 37,000 per month.
What should be the required educational qualification for application?
The institute has three types of educational options for candidates with different backgrounds, which are as follows:
For ITI Certificate holders: The candidate must have passed 10th (SSC) examination with Science subjects from any recognized board with minimum 55% marks. Along with this, it is mandatory to have ITI certificate or National/State Trade Certificate (NTC/STC) in the relevant trade.
For Experienced Handymen: The candidate must have at least 55% marks in 10th with Science subjects. Apart from this, it is necessary to have minimum 2 years of full-time apprenticeship (National Apprenticeship Certificate) experience from a recognized industrial establishment in the relevant trade.
For candidates with work experience: Candidate must have passed 10th (with Science subject) with minimum 55% marks and must have minimum 3 years full time work experience in the relevant trade in Government of India, State Government, PSU or any Autonomous Institution.

Complete information about age limit and application fee
Prescribed age limit (as on 19 June 2026): To apply for these posts, the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and maximum age should be 28 years. However, as per government rules, special relaxation in upper age limit will be provided to reserved categories (5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC) as well as physically handicapped and departmental employees as per rules.
Application Fee: Male candidates of General, OBC and EWS categories will have to deposit an application fee of ₹ 500 through online mode. On the other hand, this application has been kept completely free for SC, ST, Divyang (PwBD), Ex-Servicemen and women candidates of all categories.
