Why the dates of the exam changed?
As we all know, there have been heavy rains and flood -like conditions in many areas of Punjab and Jammu for some time. Keeping this in mind, ICAI has decided to pursue the exam dates for the safety and convenience of the students.
What are the new dates?
ICAI has only changed the dates of the first paper of Group 1.
- CA Final (Group I), Paper-1 (Financial Reporting): This exam which was first to be held on September 3, 2025, now September 24, 2025 (Wednesday) Will be there
- CA Intermediate (Group I), Paper-1 (Advanced Accounting): This exam which was earlier to be held on September 4, 2025, now September 25, 2025 (Thursday) Will be there
It is important to note that there has been no change in the dates of the rest of the examinations. They will be at their pre -fixed time.
Which cities have changed?
This change will be applicable only in a few selected cities of Punjab and the city of Jammu. These include Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Pathankot, Patiala and Sangrur. Apart from these cities, the examination will be done according to its old schedule at all other places.
Will the admit card come again?
No, you do not have to download a new admit card. Your old admit card will be valid on new dates. Examination center and exam time will also remain the same as before, ie from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Even if there is a government or local holiday on the changed dates, the exam will still be held at its scheduled time.
