Good news for those going home during festivals! Railways runs special trains for Udhna, Sitamarhi and Bengaluru

As soon as the festive season arrives, the biggest worry is to get a confirmed train ticket to go home. Dussehra, Diwali and then Chhath Puja, getting a place in regular trains on these occasions is no less than winning a battle. But this time you do not need to worry, because Indian Railways has geared up to ease your problem.

In view of the huge rush of passengers, Railways has announced to run several special trains for Udhna (Surat), Sitamarhi (Bihar) and Bengaluru. So if you too are preparing to go home this festival, then the information about these trains can be very useful for you.

1. For those going from Mau to Udhna (Surat)

  • Train No. 05017 (Mau to Udhna): This train will run from Mau every Saturday at 5:30 am from 27th September to 1st November. It will reach Udhna in the afternoon the next day via Badshah Nagar and Aishbagh stations of Lucknow.
  • Train No. 05018 (Udhna to Mau): For return, this train will leave Udhna at 3:00 pm every Sunday from 28th September to 2nd November and will reach back to Mau by 10:30 pm the next day.

2. Daily special train from Delhi to Sitamarhi (Bihar)

  • Train No. 04016 (Anand Vihar to Sitamarhi): This train will run from Anand Vihar station in Delhi at 3:30 pm every day from September 29 to November 30. This train will reach Lucknow at 1:20 pm and reach Sitamarhi at 3:00 pm the next day.
  • Train No. 04015 (Sitamarhi to Anand Vihar): For return, this train will leave Sitamarhi at 4:30 pm every day from September 30 to December 1 and reach Anand Vihar by 6:15 pm the next day.

3. Long journey from Lucknow to Bangalore will also be easy

  • Train No. 06529 (Bengaluru to Gomtinagar): This special train will run from Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal in Bengaluru at 7 pm every Monday till December 22 and will reach Gomtinagar station in Lucknow at 11:30 am on the fourth day.
  • Train No. 06530 (Gomtinagar to Bengaluru): In return, this train will leave Gomtinagar at 12:20 pm every Friday till 26th December and will reach Bengaluru at 8:15 am on the fourth day.
