Delhi-Dehradun Expressway opening date: There is a very good news for those going from Delhi to Dehradun. The most difficult part of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway that you were eagerly waiting for, i.e. the elevated road, is now almost ready. This expressway will not only increase your speed, but will also make your journey more comfortable and safe than ever before.
The journey to the mountains will now be even more exciting
Imagine, the journey which earlier used to take 5 to 6 hours, will now be reduced to just 2 to 2.5 hours. This expressway will start from Akshardham Temple in Delhi and reach Dehradun directly via Baghpat, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur. This is a six-lane modern highway, on which vehicles will run at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
The most special thing about this journey will be that you will get to see the views of beautiful mountains, dense forests and charming valleys on the way, which will make your journey memorable.
Now there will be no fear of jam and landslide
People who often travel on this route know that earlier one had to pass through the dangerous routes of Biharigarh and Mohand. There was always a danger of traffic jams and landslides. But now with the construction of this elevated highway, all these problems will become a thing of the past. Due to the flyovers and elevated structures built over the river, your journey will now be completed without any hindrance.
It is being told that the elevated portion between Saharanpur-Dehradun is almost complete and movement of vehicles has also been started from one side. As soon as the finishing work is completed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can inaugurate it.
The entire area will pick up new pace of development
It has cost about Rs 11,868 crore to build this magnificent expressway. Its construction work started in October 2021 and till now 90 percent work has been completed. It is expected that this expressway will be completely ready by November-December 2025.
This expressway will not only reduce the distance between Delhi, Western UP and Uttarakhand, but will also open new avenues of development in this entire region. This will create new opportunities for tourism, business and employment and will become one of the safest and busiest routes of UP.
