Gas in brain: Gas is produced in our stomach to digest food. This is a common thing. Often people complain of gas in the stomach even after eating heavy food. People consider the problem of gas as normal, but if this stomach gas reaches the brain, it can also cause death.

If the gas produced in the stomach leaks through the veins of the stomach or the intestines burst due to the gas, then poisonous gas can escape from the stomach and reach the brain along with the blood. Doctors call this condition pneumatosis cystoides intestinalis or portal vein gas. In simple words, it is called entry of gas in the brain.

When the gas enters the brain, the patient has an intense headache that does not go away, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, weakness, fainting, or difficulty speaking.

When the gas reaches the nerves of the brain, small bubbles are formed there. These bubbles block the brain space. Due to which blood and oxygen stops reaching there. If the patient remains in this position for a few hours, brain stroke, coma or even death may occur. Many patients lose their lives before they can get treatment.

People who have ulcers or appendicitis have a higher risk of gas reaching the brain. People who have had abdominal surgery are also at risk. Alcohol drinkers and diabetic patients are also at risk. Apart from this, people who often have acidity or gas problems are also at risk of this disease.
