Along with this, a minor involved in the incident has also been brought under the grip of law. This entire incident took place in the rural area of Ranchi late on Friday night.
They were brutally taken to a deserted place, FIR registered on Saturday
According to the information received from the police, this dreadful incident took place in a rural area under Mandar police station area of Ranchi. Late on Friday night, the accused forcibly took away the victim girl. The brutes took him to a completely isolated and dark place adjacent to the village, where they took turns to cross all limits of brutality with him. After recovering from this terrible trauma, the victim along with her family approached the police. On Saturday, based on the detailed statement of the victim, an FIR was registered under relevant sections at Mandar police station, immediately after which the medical examination of the girl was done in a government hospital in Ranchi.
Police raid in Burmu and Chanho, all the accused are between 15 to 24 years.
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Ranchi (Rural) Superintendent of Police (SP) Gaurav Goswami formed special teams and laid a trap to nab the accused. SP Gaurav Goswami told the media that the police took prompt action on Sunday and conducted simultaneous raids on several suspicious places in Burmu and Chanho police station areas. During this time, all the 8 adult accused involved in the incident, whose age is between 19 to 24 years, were arrested. At the same time, a 15-year-old minor involved in the incident has also been detained by the police. A case has been registered against all of them under various relevant and stringent sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and further legal investigation has been started.

The horrifying truth has come to light during the police investigation that the girl was first brutally raped and then strangulated to death due to fear of revealing the secret. In order to hide the evidence, the scoundrels had buried his body deep under the sand near the Radhiya river. The victim’s parents lodged a missing report on May 17, after which her body was recovered on May 19.

Disclosing this murder case, Deoghar’s SDPO Kuldeep Kumar said that on the basis of forensic evidence, technical surveillance and intelligence input, the police have arrested three people including a 29-year-old woman in this case. The arrested woman is said to be an accomplice of the main accused, who had helped the accused in carrying out this entire heinous crime and disposing of the dead body. These two back-to-back incidents have exposed the claims of women’s safety in Jharkhand.
