Incidents of breach of confidentiality of examinations and misbehavior with teachers in Banda district have forced the board administration to take strict action.

Uploading photos on Facebook became expensive

Examiner Surendra Kumar Patel, who had come to take the practical examination of Physics in two major colleges of Banda, ‘Rajkumar Inter College Naraini’ and ‘Government Girls College Kartal’, is embroiled in controversies. Board’s strict stance: As per UP Board rules, it is mandatory to maintain the confidentiality of the examination center and posting pictures of the examination room on social media is prohibited. Taking this matter seriously, the board has issued a notice to the concerned examiner and sought clarification.

Report sought on assault on teachers

There have been reports of not only indiscipline but also violence during practical examinations. In Banda itself, an incident of assault and indecency with teachers by outside elements has come to light at a centre. Taking cognizance of this matter, the Secondary Education Department has sought a detailed report from the local administration. The board has made it clear that there will be no compromise on the safety of examiners and teachers.

According to the instructions issued by the Board Secretary, the experimental examinations which started from January 24 are now in their final stages. During this period the Board has shown the following strictness:

CCTV Surveillance: All the centers are equipped with CCTV and it is being monitored from the control room.

violation of privacy: So far, show cause notices have been issued to more than a dozen schools and examiners who ignored the rules.

Ban on illegal recovery: A warning has been given of strict legal action against those who demand money from students in the name of practicals.
