News India Live, Digital Desk: Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB) has geared up for the Sub Inspector (SI) Recruitment Examination 2026. With the release of admit cards for the exam, strict guidelines have also been issued for the candidates. In UP Police through this recruitment exam 4543 sub inspectors is to be appointed, for which about 15.75 lakh Candidates have applied.

If you are also going to appear in this exam, then read these 5 important rules carefully so that you do not face any problem at the exam center:

1. Date and Time of Exam (Timing)

Examination 14 and 15 March 2026 It will be conducted in two shifts in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh:

First shift: From 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Second shift: From 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

2. Reporting Time and Gate Closing

Arrive early: The Board has advised all the candidates at least before the commencement of the examination. 2 hours ago It is advised to reach the centre.

Gate closed 30 minutes earlier: The gates will be closed exactly 30 minutes before the start of the examination. i.e. for the first shift 9:30 am and for the second shift 2:30 PM Entry will not be allowed after.

Special rules for Aadhar mismatch: Candidates whose Aadhaar number was mismatched or not registered at the time of application, 2.5 hours ago It is mandatory to reach so that their physical verification can be done on time.

3. Important Documents (Checklist)

Be sure to take the following things with you to the exam centre:

Admit Card: Downloaded original admit card.

Photo ID: Any one of Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport or Driving License (Original).

pen: Only black or blue ball point pen Only Ball Point Pen is allowed to be carried.

4. What is completely prohibited from carrying? (Banned Items)

There are strict restrictions on carrying the following items inside the centre:

Electronic Gadgets: Mobile, Smart Watch, Bluetooth, Earphone, Calculator, Health Band.

Stationary: Geometry box, plastic pouch, scale, eraser, log table.

Accessories: Purse, wallet, belt, cap, sunglasses (sunny), any jewellery.

Food items: Open or packed food, gutkha, cigarette etc.

5. Warning of strict legal action

The Board has made it clear that action will be taken against those who violate the sanctity of the examination, carry OMR sheets or debate on question papers on social media. Uttar Pradesh Public Examination Act-2024 Strict action will be taken under IPC, which also includes jail sentence.
