News India Live, Digital Desk: Heavy rains and floods in many parts of Punjab and Jammu have disturbed normal life. It has also affected the examinations of Chartered Accountant (CA). Keeping in mind the safety and convenience of the students, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has taken a big decision and postponed the CA final and intermediate examinations in some cities of Punjab and Jammu.
This decision has been taken for examinations to be held on 3 and 4 September 2025. Due to the serious flood situation in these areas, it was very difficult and insecure for students to reach the examination centers.
In which cities, examinations have been canceled?
ICAI has made it clear in its official notice that this adjournment will be applicable only to a select examination centers. The list of cities whose examinations have been postponed is as follows:
- Punjab: Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Pathankot, Patiala and Sangrur.
- Jammu: Only Jammu city.
Examinations will be held on time in other places
The institute has clarified that the CA final and intermediate examinations will be conducted according to their scheduled schedule at all other examination centers except these affected cities. Students are advised not to pay attention to any kind of rumor.
When will the new dates announce?
ICAI has said that new dates will be announced soon for centers where examinations have been postponed. The institute has requested students and other concerned to have the official website of ICAI for the latest updates www.icai.org But keep an eye on regularly.
This decision has come as a big relief for thousands of students who were worried about taking exams amidst disaster like floods.
