EVM/VV pant distribution work completed to polling parties for legislative elections.

Bettiah: The work of EVM distribution to polling parties is done a day before the date of voting. Candidates/election agents are informed in writing in advance to open the strong room for EVM distribution and to remain present during the distribution work. Also, during this period, EVMs and VVPATs are provided to the polling parties for the polling stations tagged through randomization. At the time of receiving EVMs, polling parties verify that the BU, CU, VVPAT provided is related to their polling station. Also, the machines kept safe are made available to the sector officials for replacement as per requirement (if the machines break down at the polling station). Bihar Assembly General Election, 2025 in West Champaran district tomorrow on 11.11. For the voting to be held in 2025, today on 10.11.2025, the work of distribution of EVMs and VVPATs was done by opening the strong room by the returning officer in the presence of candidates/election agents and observers to all the polling parties and sector officials. This work has been done from the dispatch centers of the respective assembly constituencies of the district, the details of which are as follows:-

Arrangements have been made for movement tracking of the vehicles through which EVMs and VVPATs are being transported by the polling parties/sector officials, through GPS devices installed in their vehicles or Ele Traces mobile app. After voting, the EVM machines used in voting will be stored in the Polled EVM Strong Room of the district. Also, the machines found faulty will be stored in an identified warehouse located separate from the Polled EVM Strong Room.
