Patna Police conducted major raids in Chitraguptnagar and Musallahpur areas of the city. Rs 1.25 Crore (₹1.25 Crore) Drugs and banned substances worth Rs.1000 have been recovered. The most shocking thing in this raid ‘Snake Venom’ was recovered, which has surprised even the police officers.

First arrest: Police first started from near Bahadurpur ROB. Arnav Kumar A young man named was taken into custody.
Raid on warehouses: On the behest of Arnav, when the police raided the warehouses located near Chitraguptnagar and Musallahpur Haat, they found huge quantities of drugs there.
Recovered items: * Cough syrup containing large amounts of codeine.
Narcotic injections and psychotropic tablets.
Snake Venom: Police found snake venom kept in glass containers, which is used for intoxication in ‘rave parties’. Its price in the international market is very high.
Snake venom intoxication: a dangerous trend
Police said that in recent times, the use of snake venom as an intoxicant has increased in high-profile parties.
Use: It is usually smuggled in liquid or powder (crystal) form.
Smuggling Network: Investigations have indicated that this consignment was brought to Patna via Nepal or from border areas and was to be further supplied to metros like Delhi or Mumbai.
Police’s next action
The police have also arrested Arnav Kumar along with three other smugglers in this case.
Doubt on transport company: City SP said that there is suspicion of collusion of some local couriers and transport companies in the transportation of this huge cache of drugs.
NDPS Act: A case has been registered against the arrested accused under stringent sections of the NDPS Act and Wildlife Protection Act. The police are now searching for the main kingpin of this syndicate.
