The wait of lakhs of youth dreaming of becoming teachers may soon end. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) can release the notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2025 any day. If you also dream of teaching in prestigious schools of the country like Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya (NVS), then tighten your belts, because this exam is the first step towards that dream.

CBSE conducts this examination twice every year – once in July and second in December. As soon as the notification comes, the application process will start on the official website ctet.nic.in.

What is important to know? The exam will be conducted with pen and paper!

Who can give this exam? Understand full qualification

CTET consists of two papers, and the eligibility for both is different:

  • Paper 1 (for class 1 to 5 teachers):
    • If you have passed 12th with at least 50% marks and have 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education, 4 years B.El.Ed degree or 2 years Diploma in Special Education, then you can apply for it.
  • Paper 2 (for class 6 to 8 teachers):
    • For this you must have a graduation degree and also must have completed 2 years B.Ed course.
    • Or if you have done any integrated course like 4 year BAEd/B.Sc.Ed, you are also eligible.

  1. First visit the official website of CTET ctet.nic.in Go to.
  2. On the home page, find the link “Apply for CTET 2025” and click on it.
  3. Fill in all your information in the application form, such as name, address and qualifications, very carefully.
  4. Deposit the application fee through online mode.
  5. After submitting the form, download and print a copy of it, it will be very useful in future.
