Double attack of nature in Jharkhand. Orange alert of storm and hailstorm in many districts including Ranchi-Jamshedpur.

News India Live, Digital Desk: In Jharkhand, the weather has taken a fierce form in the month of Chaitra. There are preparations for ‘disaster’ to rain from the sky in large parts of the state including the capital Ranchi. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an ‘Orange Alert’ of thunderstorm, heavy rain and lightning along with hailstorm in most parts of the state for the next 48 hours. According to meteorologists, due to the cyclonic circulation over eastern Uttar Pradesh and Odisha, there has been heavy moisture in the atmosphere of Jharkhand, due to which this major change is being seen in the weather of the state.

Highest danger in these 10 districts, warning of thunderstorm

According to the weather centre, the situation remains sensitive in districts like Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Gumla, Simdega, Koderma and Chaibasa. There is a possibility of ‘thundersquall’ (strong storm) at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour in these areas. The department has warned that there is a strong possibility of lightning (thunderstorm) during this period, which may cause loss of life. In the last 24 hours, due to rain in some areas of Ramgarh and Ranchi, the temperature has dropped by 7 degrees, due to which the heat of April has suddenly disappeared.

Farmers’ hard work may be ruined

This sudden storm and hailstorm has given sleepless nights to the farmers of Jharkhand. There is a fear of the crops harvested in the fields and grains lying in the barns getting wet. This season is no less than a big problem especially for the mango and litchi gardeners, because hailstorm can cause huge damage to the mango and small fruits. The administration has advised farmers to stay away from tall trees and electric wires and keep their harvested crops covered in safe places.

Weather patterns will continue till April 9

According to the Meteorological Department, this seasonal system is likely to remain active till April 9. After this, the sky is likely to be clear and sunny from April 10, due to which the temperature may once again increase by 3 to 5 degrees. At present, there are reports of trees falling and electric poles being damaged at many places due to strong winds. The administration has appealed to the people not to come out of their homes during bad weather and stay in safe places only.
