In earlier times, it was said that food should be eaten peacefully and calmly, but today breakfast is eaten on the way to office and dinner is eaten while watching the screen of mobile or laptop.

These things sound very small, but these unknown mistakes of ours are making the body hollow from inside. Let’s talk about those habits which need to be improved today itself.

1. Staying glued to the screen while eating (Mindless Eating)
90% of us either watch TV or scroll on our phones while eating. Due to this, our brain does not know when the stomach is full. As a result, we eat more than our appetite and this directly invites obesity. Unless you feel the taste and aroma of food, your body will not be able to digest it properly.

2. Swallowing quickly without chewing
Our digestion begins in the mouth, not in our stomach. When we swallow food in a hurry, the saliva in the mouth does not mix properly with it. Due to this, the stomach has to work twice as hard, which leads to problems like gas, indigestion and flatulence. Each bite should be chewed at least 25-30 times.

3. Having dinner very late at night
Due to coming late from office or watching Netflix at night, we often eat dinner at 10-11 pm. Our metabolism slows down as the sun goes down. Eating late at night means that instead of being digested, the food remains in the stomach and starts ‘rotting’. Try to have dinner at least 3 hours before sleeping.

4. Skipping breakfast
In the morning rush, we often leave after drinking a cup of tea. After a long overnight fast, our body needs ‘fuel’. When we do not have breakfast, we remain irritable throughout the day and in the afternoon we eat high calorie foods. This habit can cause weakness and diabetes in the long run.

5. Excessive tea or coffee
To reduce work stress, we frequently resort to tea or coffee. Caffeine on an empty stomach increases acidity in the body and makes you sleepy. Due to lack of sleep, the body is unable to repair itself, the effect of which is visible on the glow of the face and mental concentration.

A tip on the go:
There is no need for any magic pot to improve health. Just sit quietly and eat your food without any noise from yesterday onwards. Food will become a part of your body only when you eat it with full respect. Only small changes bring big happiness!
