The district administration West Champaran is fully engaged in the direction of conducting the Bihar Assembly General Election-2025 in a clean, fair and peaceful environment. In this sequence, an important review meeting was organized today in the NIC auditorium under the chairmanship of District Election Officer-cum-District Officer, West Champaran Shri Dharmendra Kumar. All the observers, Superintendent of Police Bettiah Dr. Shaurya Suman, Superintendent of Police, Bagaha, Shri Sushant Kumar Saroj and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
A detailed review of force deployment was done during the meeting. The District Election Officer instructed all the officials that any kind of laxity or negligence in election work will not be tolerated. He said that by identifying sensitive and vulnerable polling stations, adequate deployment of police force should be ensured there, so that no untoward situation arises on the polling day.
He said that every election process is being conducted in a transparent, fair and systematic manner by completely following the guidelines of the Election Commission of India. Security arrangements will be tight at all polling stations. Along with this, flying squad teams, static surveillance teams, video surveillance teams and MCC teams have also been instructed to remain on alert mode.
District Election Officer said that the aim of the administration is to conduct fair, peaceful and transparent elections as West Champaran district is a model district. He appealed to the general public to vote fearlessly on November 11 and take active participation in strengthening democracy.
Superintendent of Police Dr. Shaurya Suman said that necessary guidelines have been given to all the police station heads and police officers of the district. The law and order situation in every assembly constituency is being continuously monitored. Special vigil has been increased on the border areas to stop the flow of illicit liquor, cash or any kind of intoxicating material.
On this occasion, all the observers also gave their suggestions. He said that booth-wise security arrangements and logistics support should be further strengthened, so that there is no hindrance in the movement of forces and communication system on the polling day. Observers stressed on increasing vigilance on inter-state borders, increasing activation of flying squad teams and making drone surveillance more effective.
It was decided in the meeting that the number of patrolling teams will be increased on the day of polling, surveillance will also be done through drone cameras and constant monitoring will be done from the control room.
