Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya expressed deep grief, instructed officials for immediate relief and rescue:

Taking cognizance of the tragic accident in Yamuna river in Mathura, Keshav Prasad Maurya has expressed deep condolences. He has expressed his condolences to the people injured in this accident and has issued strict instructions to the district administration to carry out relief work on war footing.

The Deputy Chief Minister gave clear instructions to the District Magistrate (DM) and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Mathura that there should be no negligence in the rescue operation and the search for the missing people should be intensified with the help of divers and SDRF.

Shri Maurya has directed the officials that the people injured in the accident should be immediately admitted to nearby hospitals and arrangements for their free and high level treatment should be ensured.
