In this action which took place at midnight, a cow smuggler carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 was injured due to police firing, and he was arrested by the police. However, taking advantage of the darkness, his three associates managed to escape from the spot, for whom police teams are busy searching.
This incident took place in the Islamnagar police station area of the district, where the police had received information from an informer that some cow smugglers were planning to slaughter a banned animal.

Islamnagar Police received confirmed information from an informer on the intervening night of Thursday-Friday that some people were present in the mango orchard near Noorpur Pinauni village with a banned animal and they were preparing for cow slaughter. As soon as the information was received, a police team immediately left for the spot.
Started firing as soon as they saw the police
Police said that as soon as they reached near the garden, they asked the people present there to stop. But as soon as they saw the police, the miscreants started firing at them and tried to run away. The police also retaliated to save their lives.
Smuggler injured by bullet in leg
In the firing by the police, a bullet hit the criminal’s leg, due to which he fell there. Meanwhile, his remaining three companions escaped under cover of darkness and fields. The police immediately took the injured criminal into their custody and admitted him to the hospital for treatment.
Identification of the caught criminal Aslam son Zafar Has been born as, who is a resident of Islamnagar police station area. According to the police, Aslam is a vicious cow smuggler and a reward of Rs 25,000 was also declared on him. Several criminal cases are already registered against him, including cow slaughter and attack on police.
Police have also recovered a pistol, cartridges and some sharp tools used for cow slaughter from the spot. The police have started a combing operation to arrest the three absconding associates and have claimed that they will also be caught soon.
