China’s siege tactics, why the sound of cannons and missiles in the quiet hills?:

News India Live, Digital Desk: The bitterness in the relations between India and China is not hidden from anyone, but what China is doing now is a bit shocking. Generally we hear news of tension on Ladakh or Arunachal Pradesh border, but this time China has increased its activity near ‘Nepal border’.

After all, what is China doing on the Nepal border?

According to reports and experts, China is preparing infrastructure on a large scale in the northern area of Nepal i.e. Tibet. Roads are being widened there, helipads are being built and an increase in the number of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) soldiers has also been seen.

To understand in simple language, China wants to use Nepal as a shield to put pressure on those areas of India which are strategically important for us, such as the border area of Uttarakhand and UP and the Siliguri Corridor.

Is Arunachal the real target?

Defense experts believe that this could be China’s “diversion tactics”. China knows very well that the Indian Army is fully prepared in Ladakh and Arunachal. In such a situation, he wants to draw India’s attention by creating a stir on the Nepal border, so that he can take advantage of the opportunity and do some nefarious act in the eastern sector i.e. Arunachal Pradesh.

Beijing has always been making its absurd claims on Arunachal Pradesh. Now when it is showing its strength on the Nepal border, the question arises whether this is an attempt to encircle India near ‘Chicken’s Neck’?

How prepared is India?

It is a matter of relief that Indian intelligence agencies and Army are keeping a close watch on every action of China. Be it Sikkim, Uttarakhand or Arunachal, India has also done ‘mirror deployment’ on its borders (ie, the more troops are in front, the more are on its side).

But, the changing political climate of Nepal and the increasing interference of China can definitely become a headache for India. China’s objective is clear to create psychological pressure without fighting a war. Now it remains to be seen how India responds to this new challenge at the diplomatic and military level.
