The incident occurred during the Club World Cup match being played between Chelsea and Benfika in Charlett, North Carolina. The match was in its final stages and Chelsea was leading 1-0, when the players were called out of the field due to a storm warning. When the game started again after a long wait of about two hours, the entire mood of the match had changed. According to Marakska, this hindrance completely broke the rhythm of his team.
When the match started again, Benfika scored an equal goal, which led to the match in extra time. Although in the end Chelsea won the match by a big margin of 4–1, but Marakska was not happy with this chaos.He said after the match, “For me personally, it’s not football.
