Two very important and big updates are coming for the students who have appeared for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 12th examination and are dissatisfied with their marks. The board has extended the application deadline by one more day to get the scanned copy of your answer sheets as part of the revaluation process. Along with this, in view of the continuous technical problems being faced on the online portal, the Union Education Ministry has also taken a big and strict step.

Now the application portal will remain open till the night of 25th May

According to the official notification issued by CBSE Controller of Examinations Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, the last date of application for downloading the scanned copy of class 12th answer-sheet has been extended. Students can now fill the online form by visiting the official portal of the board till midnight (11:59 pm) of 25th May 2026.

Why did the date have to be extended?

Earlier, the last date of application was fixed by the board as 24th May. But after the declaration of results, due to lakhs of students visiting the portal simultaneously, the server of the website was crashing and complaints of payment failure were coming due to heavy traffic. Big action by Education Minister: IIT experts come to the front to improve the digital system of CBSE

The Central Government has taken the technical deficiencies in CBSE’s online server and payment gateway during the revaluation and verification process very seriously. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has issued a big instruction stating that the interests of the students are paramount. He has appointed a special team of professors and senior technical experts from two of the country’s top technical institutes—IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur—to support the IT infrastructure of CBSE.

This high-tech team will mainly work on these 3 points:

  • Investigation of Technical Faults: This expert team will thoroughly investigate all the technical faults and errors encountered during the revaluation process this year.

  • Server Capacity Testing: The team will mainly do technical testing of the stability of the portal, maximum load capacity of the server and the strength of the entire IT system.

  • Login and Payment Security: The user access system and payment gateway will be closely reviewed and upgraded to ensure that students do not face any wrong transaction, double payment or login authentication error in the future.

Strong message from the Education Minister: Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said in clear words that the welfare of the country’s students and their mental peace is paramount for the government. CBSE will have to immediately make all the necessary and concrete improvements in its entire digital and IT system on priority basis so that such mistakes do not happen again in future.
