Canadian Police forms a national investigation committee into extortion, threats from Indians

For some time now, people of Indian origin in Canada have been receiving threatening extortion calls. Therefore, the Canadian Police will form a national level team to investigate all these issues. Canadian police claims – this is a case of organized crime

A top Canadian police official said the investigation team is probing the motive behind the threatening extortion calls. He said that this case is related to organized crime. A few months ago, people of South Asian origin, especially people of Indian origin, had received threatening extortion calls in Canada. Several police complaints were also filed on this issue. After the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada, attacks on people of Indian origin, especially Hindus, have increased. Many Hindu temples have been targeted.

Firing at the houses of people of Indian origin

There were incidents of firing at the homes of some Indian people. The criminals called and demanded a ransom of 2 million dollars to keep the people safe. In November last year, Canadian police had claimed that an Indian criminal gang was behind these incidents. Which is targeting people of South Asian origin in Canada. In December last year, an incident of firing at the house of the President of Vedic Hindu Cultural Society was reported in Canada. Canadian Police has arrested two people in this case. However, later after interrogation both were released.
