The total cost of this entire mega defense project is approximately Rs 21,935 crore. Under this historic agreement, a very special strategy has been made, according to which out of the total aircraft, 40 state-of-the-art aircraft will be manufactured entirely in India. These aircraft are being assembled and manufactured by Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) in technical collaboration with global aircraft manufacturer Airbus at a huge and high-tech manufacturing facility set up in Vadodara, Gujarat.
