Patna’s SSP (Senior Superintendent of Police) Karthik Sharma, while sharing important information in this case, has said that the murder of the notorious Chandan Mishra inside the hospital is directly related to the illegal contract dispute of sand. This heinous incident has been carried out by the ‘Sheru gang’. SSP Karthik Sharma gave information during the press conference, saying that the incident of shooting at the right gate of Paras Hospital was revealed, in the initial investigation, the police had a possibility of a big sand contract dispute behind it. The roots of this dispute were spread to the Maner area. He has confirmed that Chandan Mishra, who was shot and killed, was a notorious government sand contractor and also had a criminal background. In Jachan, it has been found that the main accused in the incident and shooter ‘Sheru’ gang members, including ‘Sheru’ themselves. According to the SSP, a total of seven to eight people are expected to be involved in this criminal conspiracy, of which six to seven names have been revealed. The police have identified all these and are constantly being raided to arrest them. The SSP also highlighted the criminal history of Chandan Mishra. According to him, Chandan Mishra also had a connection with an organized gang and he had about 25-30 criminal cases including murder in various police stations. He used to keep deep penetration in sand business in areas like Maner and Bihta and due to this many criminal disputes were involved. The incident brings out the gang war and their fearless style in Patna and Bihar once again, on which the police is now fully active to curb. It is expected that all the accused will soon be under police custody.
