Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Fatehpur Sikri, Rajkumar Chahar, who came to participate in a program in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, spoke openly on many contemporary and political issues. He has given a big and controversial statement regarding the rising prices of petrol and diesel in the country, global economic challenges and offering prayers and sacrifices on the streets on the occasion of Bakrid (Eid ul-Azha).

Along with this, he took a dig at the statement of Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav that ‘bicycle is the only option’ and termed it completely irresponsible.

Said this regarding Bakrid and Namaz on the streets

MP Rajkumar Chahar, while speaking on the methods of sacrifice and namaz on Bakrid, gave the example of Sanatan Dharma. He said:

  • Need to improve traditions: Sacrifice of goat may be a part of their (Muslim community’s) tradition. From time to time, the traditions in our Sanatan Dharma which needed improvement were improved. Although there is no need to sacrifice a goat, but if it is so in their religion then it is fine.

  • Why Namaz on the streets?: The MP said, “You are celebrating the festival, it is fine, but will you offer a little namaz on the road or will you sacrifice a little life on the road?”

  • Advice for offering namaz in shifts: Talking about population growth, he said, “I myself have seen many such families in Chandni Chowk, Delhi, where due to less space, people sleep for 3-4 hours in shifts. When 40 people can live in a house with a capacity of 5 people, then why can’t Namaz be offered in shifts in mosques or designated places? Offer Namaz in shifts, who has forbidden this?”

  • Praise of CM Yogi: Praising the decisions taken by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding namaz and open sacrifice on the streets of Uttar Pradesh, the MP said that this decision of the UP government is highly commendable.

“Cycle will not lead to India’s development” clarification on oil prices

Speaking on the rising prices of crude oil globally and the prices of petrol and diesel in the country, the BJP MP blamed the international circumstances behind it.

1.Iran-America Tension:International crisis.

The MP said that at present the circumstances of the war between Iran and America are not clear, due to which there has been a rise in oil prices globally. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had already warned the public against the price rise and appealed to everyone to minimize the use of oil.

2. Resolution like Corona period:Dealing with challenges.

Rajkumar Chahar expressed confidence that just as the country had strongly faced the dire challenges arising during the Corona epidemic, in the same way this time too the government and the people together will deal with this global economic crisis.

3.Political immaturity:Taunt on Akhilesh Yadav.

Countering SP President Akhilesh Yadav’s statement in which he had called ‘cycle’ the only option amid rising prices, the MP said that Akhilesh Yadav lacks political maturity.

Bicycle vs Developed India: Taking a dig at Akhilesh, the MP further said, “You can cover only some distance on a bicycle, but if India has to be made a developed nation, then we cannot rely only on bicycles. It is not right for the opposition to make such irresponsible statements at the time of such a global crisis.”

Government serious on power crisis

Speaking on the power cuts and crisis in the state amid rising heat, MP Rajkumar Chahar said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken the power problem of the state very seriously. The government is continuously working to strengthen the power infrastructure and in the coming days the public will get complete relief from this problem.
