News India Live, Digital Desk: Nitish kumar: The Nitish government has taken a big and important decision to strengthen Panchayati Raj institutions in Bihar and to make the justice system more accessible in rural areas. A huge increase in honorarium of village court secretaries of the state has been announced. On the instructions of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, these secretaries will now get double honorarium compared to before. This decision has also been approved by the state cabinet and a formal notification in this regard will also be issued soon.
Till now the secretaries of the village courts were given an honorarium of Rs 5,000 per month. After this new announcement, they will now be paid a monthly Rs 10,000, which will improve their economic condition as well as boost their morale. Village courts settle small disputes at the village level and play an important role in providing justice at the local level. Village court secretaries play an important assistant in the smooth operation of these justice bodies, maintenance of records and other administrative functions.
With this honorarium growth, it is expected that the functioning of the village Kacharis will be more efficiently. This is part of the government’s policy under which it wants to strengthen the justice system at the grassroots level, so that common rural people do not have to go to far away cities or big courts for justice. The move is being seen as a positive initiative to empower local administration and judicial system in rural areas. In this series, the honorarium of justice friends has also been increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,000, which has brought relief for all the workers associated with the region.
