Justice A. Badruddin’s bench, while hearing the case, found that there were several inconsistencies in the evidence presented by the police. The court remarked that the charges lacked clarity and prima facie did not constitute a crime of kidnapping. The High Court accepted that this case seemed more like a mutual dispute to which an attempt was made to give it a criminal colour. Considering the lack of evidence and legal technical aspects, the Honorable Court ordered to quash the case registered against Monalisa.
