Before being sacrificed on Bakrid, Bangladesh’s ‘Pink Buffalo’ went viral, owner told the truth about its real value!

As the festival of Bakrid (Eid-ul-Azha) approaches, a unique animal is everywhere on social media. A ‘pink buffalo’ from Bangladesh is becoming a sensation on the internet these days, with huge crowds of people coming from far and wide to see it. Mohammad Fariduzzama Sharon, the owner of this viral buffalo, has now come in front of the media just before the sacrifice and shared many interesting things. He told that to see this special animal, a fair is organized at his house from morning till evening.

There is no VIP price, this buffalo was bought at market price only.

Seeing the popularity of this unique buffalo, everyone was guessing its value, but its owner Fariduzzama has exposed the truth. He told that he had not bought this buffalo at any sky-rocketing price, but at the normal market price only. Like big animals in Bangladesh, it was also weighed at the rate of 550 taka per kilogram.

The last time this buffalo was weighed, it weighed around 600 kg. Accordingly, its total price was 3,30,000 Taka (Bangladeshi currency). However, Fariduzzama said that he got a discount of Tk 5,000 while making the deal, after which he paid a total of Tk 3,25,000 for it.

One insistence of the son and the ‘pink buffalo’ came home

Usually people sacrifice goat or cow on the occasion of Bakrid, but why did this family choose buffalo this time? Fariduzzama’s wife revealed this secret. He told, “I am really feeling very proud and happy that such a huge crowd is coming to see our animal. We sacrifice only cow or goat every year, but this is the first time that a buffalo has come to our house. Actually, this time my son was adamant that we have to sacrifice the buffalo only, just to fulfill his insistence, we bought it.”

Sacrifice in the name of Allah and the beautiful feeling of going viral

While talking to news agency ANI, Fariduzzama told that he had bought this unique animal about two months ago. He made it clear that his only motive behind purchasing it was to seek the pleasure of Allah and sacrifice it in the path of Allah. At that time he had no idea that it would become so famous.

He further said, “I bought it only because it was very beautiful in pink color. But when your favorite animal becomes a topic of discussion all over the world and people come to see it with so much love before it is dedicated to the path of Allah, then that feeling cannot be expressed in words. It is really a very beautiful and heart touching experience.”
