How to worship immersion at home? (SARAL PUJA VIDHI)

Before immersion, do the last worship of Bappa and aarti at home just as you have been doing for the last 10 days.

  1. Last worship: Take a bath in the morning and wear clean clothes. Offer Bappa to his favorite modak or laddus. Offer new flowers, durva and clothes to them.
  2. Aarti and Prayer: Sing Ganpati’s Aarti with the whole family. Chant the mantra “Om Gan Ganpataye Namah”. So far, thank Bappa for sitting in the house and showering your grace. Ask them for any mistake in the puja.
  3. Prepare the bundle: Now tie a small rice, wheat, some coins and modak or sweets in a clean cloth and make a small bundle. This bundle is immersed with the statue of Bappa. It is believed that this is their food for Bappa’s visit.
  4. Raise the idol: Now with respect, pick up the idol of Ganpati slowly from his place and take it for immersion. During this time, keep shouting “Ganpati Bappa Morya, Mangal Murthy Morya”.
  5. Immersion: Immerse the idol with respect by filling water in a big clean tub in a holy river, pond or house. Keep in mind that do not throw the idol, but slowly flow into the water.

If you are immersing at home, then later put that holy water and soil in the pots of your house. It will always be present in your house like Bappa’s blessings.
