The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big step on the allegations of alleged irregularities and missing money in the amount of donations and offerings made by the devotees in the grand Ram temple located in Ayodhya. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath government has decided to investigate this entire matter in depth. 3-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) Has been formed.
Interestingly, this SIT has been formed on the written request of ‘Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust’ itself. The Trust had met CM Yogi Adityanath and demanded an impartial investigation into these serious allegations, which was immediately accepted by the government.
Why did the Trust itself come forward and ask for an impartial investigation?
Ram Mandir Trust says that for the last few days, baseless allegations are being made continuously in social media and political circles regarding the donations received to the temple. Many types of misleading information are also being spread in this regard among the public and Ram devotees. In such a situation, an independent government investigation was extremely necessary to bring the truth of the entire matter before the country, maintain transparency and make all the facts as clear as glass. Taking cognizance of this demand of the Trust, the state government has constituted a high level SIT, which will investigate every point in detail.
These big officers are included in SIT, final report will have to be given in 15 days
According to information received from government sources, three very senior and tough officers of Uttar Pradesh have been included in this special investigation committee:
-
Vijay Vishwas Pant (Commissioner, Lucknow Division)
-
Kiran S (Inspector General of Police – IG)
-
Neel Ratan (Special Secretary, Finance Department)
This high-profile committee has been given very strict instructions by the government. SIT to submit its initial preliminary investigation report within 7 days And detailed final report of the entire case within 15 days Will have to be handed over directly to the state government. This quick decision has been taken after the harsh allegations made by the leaders of Samajwadi Party (SP).
Opposition’s allegation: Rs 5 to 7.5 crore missing from donation boxes!
This entire controversy started with a statement by former Samajwadi Party MLA Pawan Pandey. He had directly alleged that a huge amount of money ranging between Rs 5 crore to Rs 7.5 crore has mysteriously gone missing from the donation boxes kept in the Ram Mandir complex. Soon after this, SP chief and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav also seized the issue and raised the demand for investigation of the entire episode by an independent and impartial government agency. After these political allegations, SIT will now find out the truth of this ‘missing cash’ claim.
Champat Rai got angry on the allegations, told how notes are counted in Ram temple
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has completely rejected all these allegations of the opposition and termed them completely fabricated. The Trust clearly says that every penny coming to Ramlala’s court is accounted for with complete transparency.
Responding sharply to the allegations, Trust General Secretary Champat Rai clarified that a strict internal audit of the temple’s accounts is conducted from time to time. In this entire financial audit process, not only the representatives of the Trust but also senior officials of State Bank of India (SBI) are directly involved. This audit process lasts for several days and even at present this work is going on smoothly. No irregularity or manipulation of even a single rupee has been revealed in any audit so far.
Bank officers count in view of CCTV: According to the Trust, there is a very strict and fixed guideline for counting and accounting of cash donations received in the Ram temple. Whenever donation boxes are opened, there is direct presence of bank officials and trust members. The biggest thing is that this entire process of counting notes is in high-definition. CCTV cameras This is done under 24 hour live monitoring. In such a situation, it is impossible for even a single note to go missing from there. However, now the responsibility of investigation is with the SIT and it is expected that the truth will be revealed within the stipulated time.
