Attack on corruption in Bihar, EOU raid on the premises of SDPO Gautam Kumar and DRDO Director

News India Live, Digital Desk: Adopting a policy of zero tolerance against corruption in Bihar Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) Has once again taken major action. On Friday morning, the EOU team met the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Bihar Police. Gautam Kumar and Director of Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) Vibhav Kumar Simultaneous raids were conducted on the locations of. This action has been taken against these two officers after strong evidence was found of acquiring disproportionate assets. Investigation is going on at their residences and offices located in Patna and other cities of Bihar.

Immense wealth found from SDPO Gautam Kumar’s hideouts

The special team of EOU knocked at the Patna and ancestral residence of SDPO Gautam Kumar early in the morning. According to sources, a large amount of cash, gold jewelery and many valuable land documents were recovered during the raid. Gautam Kumar is accused of amassing wealth far beyond his known sources of income by misusing his position. The EOU team is now preparing to search their bank accounts and lockers so that the entire chain of corruption can be exposed.

DRDO director Vibhav Kumar also under investigation

In another major action, EOU also raided the premises of DRDO Director Vibhav Kumar. The Economic Offenses Unit had received complaints of huge investments and benami properties by Vibhav Kumar while in government service. During the investigation, it came to light that documents related to many luxury vehicles and flats were found from Vibhav Kumar’s premises. This action is expected to become even stricter with the coordination of joint agencies of the Central and State Governments.

There is a stir among corrupt officials, preparations to go to jail

For some time now, the activism of EOU against senior officials in Bihar has created a stir in the administrative corridors. This raid has made it clear that even people holding influential positions will no longer be able to escape the law. Top officials of EOU say that the seized documents are being thoroughly examined and arrest of both the officers is possible after accurate assessment of disproportionate assets. This action has given sleepless nights to other officials involved in corruption in the state.
