Russia has supported US President Donald Trump’s call for global ban on biological weapons. In his speech at the United Nations, Trump said he was calling on all countries to support them permanently ending the development of organic weapons. He proposed that artificial intelligence could be used to confirm compliance.

Russia openly supported Trump’s call

Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov said on Thursday that Russia supports US President Donald Trump’s call for extensive global ban on biological weapons. Peskov said that Russia welcomes Trump’s “very important call” and calls it a great initiative.

“Russia ready to leave biological weapons”

Dimitri Peskov said, “Naturally, in such a process of abandoning the Russian side biological weapons, it is ready to participate in the general abandonment of biological weapons, and of course, it would be good to make it formal form again at the international level.”

Tension between America and Russia over biological weapons

Russia has been continuously accusing the US of using Ukraine as an organic weapon laboratory. However, Russia has not yet presented any evidence in this regard. The Russian government says that the US has long set up these organic laboratories in Ukraine through various agencies, where weapons that harm humans are developed.
