How to prepare Ayurvedic steam?

Preparing this special steam is very easy.

You need:

  • water in a big pot
  • 8-10 basil leaves
  • 8-10 mint leaves
  • one teaspoon celery
  • 2-3 drops of eucalyptus oil (if available)
  • a thick towel

Method of preparation:

  1. Boil water thoroughly in a vessel.
  2. When the water starts boiling, add basil and mint leaves in it, crush them a little with your hands.
  3. Along with this, also add celery to it.
  4. Now turn off the gas and if you have eucalyptus oil, put a few drops of it in water.
  5. Carefully remove the vessel from the gas and keep it down.
  6. Now cover your head with a towel and bend over the vessel. Make sure your face is at a safe distance from the hot water.
  7. Now slowly take long breaths through nose and mouth and inhale the steam.
  8. Repeat this process for 5 to 10 minutes.
