An election which became a sore throat for the government, when will the election bugle in Jharkhand?

News India Live, Digital Desk: Jharkhand Politics: In Jharkhand, the matter has been hot about the election of cities ie municipal bodies. The Jharkhand High Court has now taken a tough stand on the delay in the election. The court has asked the Hemant Soren government directly and strict questions that why there is so much delay in holding elections? This resentment of the court has increased the difficulties of the state government.

Why did the court show strictness?

The High Court expressed deep displeasure over the matter, saying that it is constitutional responsibility to conduct elections on time and it cannot be avoided. The court even said that the government has failed to hold elections even after repeated time. The matter became so serious that the court had to summon the Chief Secretary of the state and directed to appear personally. The High Court says that when the term is over, why is the delay in holding elections?

Why is the government arguing for delay?

At the same time, the state government says that it wants to conduct elections, but it is necessary to complete the triple test process for OBC reservation, due to which it is being delayed. However, the court does not seem satisfied with this argument. The opposition is also accusing the government of deliberately avoiding elections.

What is the effect on the general public?

The postponement of these elections is directly affecting the development of cities. The tenure of many municipal bodies has been over, and the work there is going on by the administrators. Due to lack of elected representatives, many development works have been stopped and the financial assistance from the Center is also affecting it. Now everyone’s eyes are on what the government responds before the court and how long cities get their own government.
